Your Daily Dose of Energy

As we grow older, sometimes it feels harder to be happy. I want to tell you it's not true. While life doesn't always go our way, always choose kind and positive thoughts. Because happiness is always just 'one thought' away- all you need is a change of perspective.

People say the beginning is always the hardest- starting a new job, a new school, a new business, or even a new workout routine! But always keep in mind why you started in the first place. The only thing standing between you and your goals, is your mindset.

Doesn't this feel like the most luxurious thing we could have hoped for in 2020? But you're here, reading this, and I am grateful that you are safe and sound. May this continue keeping you safe and your heart peaceful while we keep fighting through the pandemic.

Remember - the longer you hold on to something, the heavier it becomes and the more tired you become. This applies to both physical objects and emotions. Letting go doesn't mean to forget about the past. It's recognising you deserve happiness & freedom. I hope you find the courage to let go of things that no longer serve you.

Humility is the first step towards learning. You can't learn until you are humble enough to realise there is something for you to learn.

You may be striving to be the best, or even are the best at what you do right now, but never stop being humble, because there's always more to learn.

The reason I love this word is because it doesn't simply mean 'kindness'- it means 'kindness with empathy'. In Buddhism particularly, it means to have a heart so kind and empathetic that you wish to spread love to everyone around you, and relieve the suffering of the world. No one walks on earth unscathed - we have all gone through something challenging and heartbreaking. So try to show people around you kindness and mercy, because you'll never know what people are going through.

The past year has shown us what 'health is wealth' really means. Take good care of your physical and mental health. They are the only places you have to live in.

Don't give up on pursuing your dreams and passions. There will always be road blocks on the way, but as long as you don't lose sight of what you want, I truly believe you will get it one day.

What is happiness to you? Sometimes, we tend to associate happiness with possessions - money, fame, power, good career. But maybe true happiness was never about what we have, but what we don't have? To not have stress, pain, sickness, worries & pressure?
